You have no proof to back up your story. If it’s only your word against someone else’s and you have no evidence to back up your story then there is no-way we can place your story in a publication.
You wish to remain anonymous or don’t want to be photographed. However, in some cases it’s possible if your story is of the nature of a sexual crime – however there must be a conviction.
You don’t have any photos of any of the people involved in your story. All publications need photographs of everyone involved in your story in order to illustrate your story in the magazine or newspaper.
You have already approached another agency or magazine direct. Magazines will be put of if they receive the same story from another journalist
If your story has been published in a magazine before. A magazine will NEVER publish a story that has already been published in a rival publication.
If you are not realistic about the amount of money the magazine will pay you for your story. If your story is – for example: about finding in insect in a bag of salad then do not expect to be paid thousands for it. However, the bigger your story the more you WILL be paid.
